JFK on wholegrain? Buttered with a smidge of Hitler? Or how about an AbraHAM and cheese?

Art appreciation just got a whole lot tastier thanks to Toronto artist Tibi Tibi Neuspiel, whose ‘Assassination Sandwiches’ feature portraits of historical famous icons on sculptures of toasted ham and cheese sandwiches.

While they may look good enough to eat, these sandwiches have been painstakingly crafted from wax and oil paint. The face of a famous assassinated figure from history is painted on one side of the sandwich, with their assassin painted on the other side in some kind of unholy toasted alliance.

Abraham Lincoln and John Wilkes Booth

Franz Ferdinand and Gavrilo Princip

Martin Luther King and James Earl Ray

John F. Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald

Jesus Christ and Charles Darwin

Also by the same artist is ‘The Free Spirit’ – a sculpture of a trash can filled with pieces of toast all bearing the likeness of Hitler:

'The Free Spirit'

And a scultpure of processed cheese maps on toast, appropriately named ‘Processed Cheese Maps on Toast’:

Personally, I prefer a nice piece of multigrain with either vegemite or my mum’s homemade fig jam. Made with my toaster from Appliances Online, of course!

On her appliance wish list is a Hello Kitty toaster and 'Hero' the barking dog-shaped hot dog maker. She lives in Sydney. Google+

Um, when someone gets shot, the entire cartridge doesn’t come out of the gun and hit the person, just the bullet.
