DIY Christmas gifts

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful…

*Cue record jump*

Ok, it may not be snowing in Australia, but that doesn’t mean Christmas is any further away!

Yikes, where did 2015 go? I’m still finding hidden (melted) Easter eggs in my garden from the kids’ (nieces & nephews) Easter egg hunt in April; it seriously can’t be December already!

So little time, yet so much to do. So why don’t we start with work-friendly DIY Kris Kringle or Secret Santa (whichever you’re familiar with) gifts – and if you don’t quite know how it all works, just click here

So now that you have familiarised yourself with how it all works, let’s get into the crafty side of things.

‘Giving is more of a gift then the gift itself’

It can be a challenge to pick out gifts, especially if it’s for someone who you may not be that close to. That’s why we’ve picked out our favourite DIY items that anyone can enjoy.

Impress your colleagues, and ensure they smell just how you want them too (which is great power in itself) with these beautiful DIY homemade soaps.

The soaps need to be cured for 3 weeks, so keep that in mind if you have a deadline as to when the gifts need to be given.

Gifts For Him

If he’s the grilling type, then he’ll definitely appreciate this DIY BBQ rub. And just like the bacon salt, store it in a jar, and wrap string around it for the perfect Christmas gift.

If he enjoys a boozy night, then he’ll most likely enjoy having an alcohol bottle as a soap dispenser. And just like the link suggests, you can either enjoy the alcohol yourself, or pour it into a flask and gift it to someone else. 2 gifts in 1! Perfect.

All these ideas would make great Secret Santa/Kris Kringle gifts, but they would also make great gifts for yourself if you decide to get a little crafty one Sunday day.

Merry Christmas everyone!
