A kitchen staple in the 1950s, Mixmaster is synonymous with classic recipes and bonding time between Mum and the kids.

While technology has changed over the decades, Sunbeam has decided to bring the household favourite back and embrace the retro charm Mixmaster products offer.

Almost 65 years after the launch of the original appliance, both the Mixmaster Classic and Mixmaster Hand Mixer have been re-released – allowing households to enjoy the same iconic appliance design in a host of heritage colours.

The latest incarnation of the Mixmaster Classic includes a solid die-cast body in shades of Lemonade Yellow, Toffee Apple Red, White and Silver, as well as a range of mixing attachments and two bowl sizes.

Thankfully the price of the Mixmaster Classic has come down since its launch 1948 – when the appliance cost more than a month’s wage – selling for RRP$299.

For budding chefs stepping into the kitchen for the first time, the Mixmaster Hand Mixer is the ideal start to your gadget collection. The compact and simply-to-use appliance is equipped with V groove beaters, dough hooks and balloon whisks – helping you go from whipping up cakes to bread to meringues effortlessly.

The Mixmaster Hand Mixer is also now available in a number of popular 1950s Formica colours – including our personal favourite, Fairy Floss Pink.

The Mixmaster Hand Mixer is valued at RRP$69.95.

Krissy's favourite appliance is the Tefal Cook4Me multi cooker, as she believes it's ok to let an appliance do all the work for you.
